Minerogenic series of metallic deposits related to Mesozoic granites in the Taihangshan-Yanshan orogenic belt and their characteristics
Abstract:Lying in the central part and northern margin of the Sino-Korea plate, the Taihangshan-Yanshan orogenic belt is characterized by iron, copper, molybdenum, gold, silver, lead, zinc and uranium deposits. Based on three "identical" basic prerequisites (the same geological environment, the same geological era and the same geological function) and five "multiple" basic characteristics ( multiple o reforming elements, multiple ore deposit types, multiple ore-forming patterns, multiple ore-forming positions and multiple ore-forming stages) of the metallogenic series, the authors have divided the ore deposits related to Mesozoic granites in the Tarhangshan-Yanshan orogenic belt into six metallogenic series, viz., the Fe( Au Ci) metallogenic series related to intermediate-shallow-seated magmatic intrusion, the MoCuFeZnAgPb metallogenic series related to intermediate (slightly acid)-acid intermediate shallow-seated-super hypabyssal magmatic intrusion, the NbTaLBe metallogenic series related to peraluminous acid magmatic intrusion, the AgPbZnM n (Au) metallogenic series related to continental volcanic-subvolcanic activity, the UMo metallogenic series related to continental superhypabyssal volcanic activity, and the stratabound-transformed Au metallogenic series somewhat related to magmatic-hydrothermal activity. On the basis of such features of various m etallogenic series as the major geological characteristics, the stable isotope characteristics, and the properties of ore-forming hydrothermal fluids as well as their physical-chemical conditions, the authors have reached the following conclusions: (1) the six metalloenic series have different characteristics; (2) magmatic rocks, strata and faults all played the controlling role in the formation of metallogenic series; (3) the ore-forming materials were dervied from both w all rocks and granitic magma; ( 4) in the orogenic process, the crust-mantle evolution made different contributions to different metallogenic series.
